Palliative care cource for nurces in Ukraine

When a nurse helps a wound heal faster, when a family feels supported, and when pain becomes easier to manage – that’s when palliative care really works. And at Hospices of Hope Ukraine, together with our partners, we are working to ensure moments like these happen more often.

Our training programme, delivered with the St Panteleimon IF Foundation and supported by The Burdett Trust for Nursing, has already brought together 125 nurses and chaplains from across the country. They are learning from leading global experts, gaining new skills in palliative care, and preparing to pass this knowledge on to those who need compassionate support the most.

This Tuesday, we will hold the eighth lecture in the series. Participants have shared their reflections on the previous sessions, and their feedback makes one thing clear: this knowledge transforms more than professional practice, it transforms hearts. Because palliative care is about recognising the value of every single day.
